Election reflection

Dear friends.

It is irrelevant who I wanted to win because neither candidate had any substantive economic policy.

But something needs to be said about this election.

There will be some finger-pointing after blowing 1.6 Billion dollars in four months.

(Harris raised 1Billion, Superpacs raised 600million)

After Biden ran in 2020, several reputable news outlets reported that he would be a one-term president and transition to another generation of leaders.

He did publicly deny these comments, as one would! But it was a consistent source of discussion.

One question: When or where did he think he should have rerun, or better yet, who told him to run again?

Suppose the Democratic party was going to give Kamala Harris a shot. In that case, they should have either had a primary election or had Biden step down much earlier in the year to give Harris a complete chance to run an effective campaign.

The best analogy for those seeking answers to this belligerent question is the 2015 Super Bowl between the Seahawks and the Patriots, one of the most significant blunders in Super Bowl history.

  • With two minutes left on the clock from the Seattle 20, in a blink of an eye, Russell Willson QB led his offense down the field, completing passes of 31, 11, and 33 years to take the Seahawks to the patriot's two-yard yardline However, on a second and goal with 26 seconds left, Wilson threw a pass to Receiver Ricardo Lockette, who was intercepted at the endzone by Patriots rookie Malcolm Butler.

Why coach Pete Carroll didn't call for a running play with the most accomplished running back ever, Marshon Lynch, remains a mystery.

Now, my top opinions following the Republican takeover are as follows:

The market should continue to grow through the end of the year. Thanksgiving through Christmas produces some of the best returns of the year.

The data shows strength in cyclical investments, including those of banks, industrials, oil and gas, and manufacturing.

That's all I have.

Chris
