A few nights ago, I was sitting at a bar, and the TV showed Live PD. Have you seen this? It is Cops - except live, not pre-recorded.
Regardless, in this particular episode, there was a really nice police officer who pulled over a young man in a Mustang and proceeded to ticket him for speeding. Moments later, a woman stopped, walked over to the cop, and told him what a lousy driver this young man was.
Here is the summation of the conversation:
Woman: I want to tell him (driver of the Mustang) that he is a terrible driver. Cop: ok, ma'am, I will do that. Please go back to your car.
Woman: But I want to tell him.
Cop: That is not appropriate. I don't want to escalate anything; please return to your car. Woman: I am telling him.
Cop: If you do that, I must arrest you for obstruction. Woman: I don't care; I will talk to him.
Cop: Ok, you are under arrest.
After being arrested, she screams with teary eyes, why am I being detained?
It is a gross understatement to say the last several months have been stressful! All of us could use a long weekend. I encourage all recipients of this humor among the tumult to do the following.
Step One: Stop what you are doing.
Step Two: Call a loved one and set up some time together. Step Three: Turn off the TV and Cell phones till Monday.
Final Step: Relax and enjoy the company of family and friends.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day weekend, and I look forward to sitting down with everyone next month. I will not be in on Friday.
All my best, Chris
