Magnetic North Financial: Goals for 2025

I hope you are all looking forward to some holiday family time.

 

After the conference in November in Nashville, TN, I worked with Oneseven Schwab and Fidelity to enhance a couple of procedures I recognized needed improvement.

 

Below is my list of improvements that affect you.

 

  1. Office and mobile check deposit. As the investor, before December, you needed to send checks directly to Fidelity and Schwab. Now you have the option to send them directly to my office. This includes my ability to scan checks for Schwab directly in your home with the Schwab Advisor mobile App and deposit them instantly into your account. This will help relieve some confusion about where to send money.

 

  1. Proxy voting annual fund information can now be redirected to my office on your account. This does NOT include trade confirmations and Statements or deposit notices. By law, those must go directly to the client. But we can now reduce the amount of mail you receive from Schwab (Fidelity has yet to approve this). I recognize it was annoying people about how many notifications (junk mail) were being sent.

 

  1. Inverse Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and Crypto investments are now available for investors if you choose to want to invest! We can hedge accounts and speculate in crypto. People have been asking about this, and Oneseven and I are working on the best time to implement each. I suggest not doing it at the moment that's just my take.

 

  1. The help desk with Oneseven is still underway; I plan to complete enough to implement this group early in 2025.
